Legacy Retained: DAV Stood Tall Among CBSE Schools in Nepal.May 10, 2019
Proud Moment: DAV Topped the CBSE Schools of Nepal in Board Examination Gaurav Agrawal , the commerce student from DAV secured 97.20 % in CBSE Grade XII Board Examination held in the month of March-April, 2019 and impressively outdid all the CBSE Schools in Nepal. Shivam Barmecha with 96.20% secured the 2nd position followed by Aayush Harlalka and Mallika Sarda both secured 96% for the third position. In science stream, Kashi Sharma with 96% topped the results. DAV has efficaciously produced 100% results and 26 students have secured 90% and above in both science and commerce steam. To mark the triumphant moment, a special assembly was called by Principal Ms Bhubaneswari Rao at 10:45 a.m. The students, who appeared the XII CBSE exam, were present in the school to collect their report cards. The principal welcomed and congratulated all the students for the best results and said it is the proud moment for DAV and congratulated all the toppers for the outstanding results who had fulfilled their duty and retained the legacy. As per the results detail forwarded by Examination Controller Ms. Vijaya Tater, 14 students have secured 90 % and above in commerce stream and 12 students have secured more than 90% in science stream. The students who secured 90 % and above in commerce stream are- Gaurav Agrawal 97.20%, Shivam Barmecha- 96.20%, Ayush Harlalka- 96 %, Mallika Sarda- 96%, Rishi Ghirajiya-93.60%, Muskan Bajaj-93.4%, Shikshya Agarwal 92.60%, Shivansh Khetan-92.6%, Khushi Agarwal-92.40%, Shyam Agrawal- 91.80%, Jitesh Kumar Lunia- 91.20%, Anant Sharma- 91% Aashi Jain-90.40% and Chitranshi Dokania-90 % Similarly, the students who secured 90% above in science stream are Kashi Sharma-96 %, Apurba Shakya 95.60% Aryan Dokania-95.60%, Pratik Saria-94.80 %. Anshu Kumar Agrawal 93.60%, Bishakha Shakya- 93.60%, Isha KC- 93.00%, PrasunThapa- 92.60%, Subhojit Ghimire-92.40%, Sakshi Agrawal- 91.20 %, Krisha Rauniyar-91 % and Subham Kumar Sharma-91%. The school principal also presented overall results of CBSE schools. For the session 2018/19, 13 lakhs students appeared board examination from total 4627 centers in India and out of the country. The total pass percentage is 83.40 %. Hansika Shukla from DPS Meerut Ghaziabad with 499 marks out of total 500 topped CBSE Board Results in India followed by Karishma Arora from SD Public School, Muzaffarnagar Uttar Pradesh with 498 marks out of total 500 secured the second position. During the results declaration ceremony, the principal also congratulated all the teachers’ team of Grade XII and parents who were the real mentors to bring such great results. Principal also congratulated senior school co-ordinator Mr. Tank Meghji Devji, the director of +2 CBSE who was well acquainted with all the students and had calculated earlier the good and average results of all the students. She also thanked all teaching, non-teaching staff and out sourcing staff who were involved in nurturing from Kindergarten level to senior school with their different responsibilities. The Nepal topper, Gaurav Agrawal also addressed the assembly and lauded the DAV Management, Teachers and Staff in his achievements. He also suggested board appearing students to study consistency throughout the session for big results and motivated juniors to break their records.
